Hey guys – I know we’re always playing weddings and private parties, but we booked a bar gig for our friends and potential clients to come check us out! Accept our Facebook event invite here!

The location is on Coleman Blvd in Mt Pleasant, SC 29464! We will be playing from 10-1! We’ve learned a ton of new songs for weddings since the last time we played there so expect some new music!

Kiawah Summer Series

Starting June 9th Permanent Vacation will be kicking off the summer with another series out at Kiawah Island Golf and Tennis Resort. This is our third year in a row playing this series and it is every Wednesday starting June 9th and going until August 25th. The event is a kids carnival that includes jump castles, train rides, cotton candy and more! This is open to the public so come out and see us… just tell the gate that you are going to the kids carnival at Night Heron Point! Bring your chairs and a blanket and we will see you this summer!

Shagging on the Cooper 6/19

Come join Permanent Vacation on Saturday June 19th, 2010 at the new Mt Pleasant Pier located at the foot of the Arthur Ravenel Bridge. We will be playing at the end of the pier for a summer series call Shagging on the Cooper. The set will be filled with Beach and Shag songs so bring your dancing shoes and your best dance partner. Please join Permanent Vacation on Friday February 12 starting at 9pm at Wild Wing Cafe in Mount Pleasant on Coleman Boulevard. The band is starting up around 10 but Wild Wing has been generous enough to donate a portion of the proceeds from bar sales to The Angel Walk benefiting pediatric brain tumor research at MUSC Children’s Hospital. The Angel Walk will be held at Waterfront Park on May 15 beginning at 8am in honor of Luke James Sechevich. Come on out to support a great cause, have a great time with friends, and enjoy live music by Permanent Vacation

Down Coleman Boulevard

More than 100 floats will march down Coleman Boulevard as the Mount Pleasant Holiday Parade set sails to the delight of thousands of residents and visitors. The parade will begin at 5:45 PM at the intersection of Coleman and Pelzer Drive. It will continue past Shem Creek to conclude at the Sea Island Shopping Center around 7:15 PM.

We are playing Friday on their summer concert series from 6-9 on the large lawn in the village. Check out the website for directions. It is a free event and we would love to see you all!

We are playing a cool event for the new Charleston chapter of the Friends of St. Jude organization directly benefiting the St. Judes Children’s Hospital (http://friendsofstjude.org/charleston/). They are hosting their first event at the Hobcaw Yacht Club on Friday July 24th and we are honored to be a part of it. The event is called Shrimpin and Shaggin and has a lowcountry theme! Café Catering (http://www.charlestonscafe.com/catering/home.aspx) is cooking it up right for us with Shrimp and Grits and Frogmore Stew! It will be an open bar sponsored bar our friends at FireFly (http://www.fireflyvodka.com/) so don’t miss out on that part of the night as well. The event is going to be from 8-11 with Permanent Vacation starting around 8:30 or 9:00 that evening. Hobcaw Yacht Club is in Mount Pleasant so please check the link for directions (http://www.hobcawyachtclub.org/Facilities/facilities.htm). The tickets are going to be $35 for members and $45 for non-members. They are going to throw a few events each year and the membership dues are only $25 a year so it might be worth it to go ahead and join the organization! Another cool thing about this organization is that 85% of the money earned from their events and dues go directly to St. Judes. They only work off of 15% which is a awesome testament of their dedication. Come out and join us for a night of Shrimpin and Shaggin for a GREAT cause!
